Santo Alessi designs, develops and manufactures handcrafted, Australian custom made tableware, homeware and unique promotional pieces that reflect your company’s identity. Founded in 1947, Santo Alessi was orginated by John Elischer, an artist from Vienna who was trained by the renowned sculptor August Rodin. After he migrated to Australia in 1935, Elischer handcrafted many famous sculptures such as the King George V Memorial in Bendigo, a bronze fountain for Sir Russell Grimwade in Toorak and a bust of Archbishop Mannix for Newman College, Univeristy of Melbourne. In 1951, Elischer was recognised for his sculpting talents when he won the 200 guinea prize for his design of a jubilee medal.
Today, Elischer's innovative designs and creative vision continues today as Santo Alessi, paying homage to his artistic creativity by creating contemporary works of art with flair, passion and creativity.
